Welcome to the official website of the Somerset Vikings Rugby League.
Formed in 2003 by head coach Chris Richards and commercial manager Darren Horne, the Vikings were predominantly made up of Royal Marines Rugby League players based in Taunton and Exeter. The early team were bolstered with local rugby union players keen to try the thirteen man code and who have never looked back.
Today a 10 strong committee drive a rapidly expanding and ambitious club offering not only senior Rugby League in Somerset, but Junior development and youth development working closely with schools and proudly feed bright young stars on Rugby League Scholarships at Filton College.
